The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division (JOID) provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues. The Critical Infrastructure Group (CIG) within JOID provides technical, programmatic and analytical support to customers with missions in national security to include the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Group brings technical and operational expertise in fields of countering weapons of mass destruction, critical infrastructure protection, emergency response, nuclear non-proliferation, weapons deployment programs, and transportation safety. In addition to management and advisory services, CIG staff collaborate closely with our clients to provide high-quality modeling, simulation, software, and analytical products to meet the most demanding government standards and timelines. We have a near-term need for a Project Scheduler to support FAA customers located in the Washington, DC area. Responsibilities The Scheduler will support the development, analysis and reporting of cost, schedule and performance progress. Identify dependencies and relationships and collaborate with FAA senior management. Communicate and manage client expectations, understand schedule interdependencies and Work Breakdown Structure relationships to program management. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Finance, or related quantitative discipline. 7-15 years of meaningful experience in the field. High proficiency with Microsoft Project. Experience in leading project planning efforts and experience with project schedule analysis software such as Primavera P6. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government Public Trust Investigation and meet eligibility requirements to obtain and retain the designated Government clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with Federal program management and scheduling support processes. Preferred knowledge of FAA, but not required. Experience providing Critical Path analysis and implementing scheduling standards and methodologies. Ability to build quality program schedules, including investment analysis schedules, whether built from scratch or inherited, following GAO Best Practices in schedule development. Master’s Degree or higher may substitute for years of experience.
