Registered Nurse Supervisor

Registered Nurse Supervisor Shift and Schedule This position is a 24/7 PRN (as needed) role. Hours are not guaranteed; however, if the facility requires coverage, the individual will be called in. The role involves supervision as a Registered Nurse and may include working weekends, nights, evenings, and days. The person filling this position must be available to work any required shift since the facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This includes weekends and holidays. As a PRN position, there is no fixed schedule. Possible shifts include one or more of the following: 07:00 – 15:30 15:00 – 23:30 23:00 – 07:30 19:00 – 07:30 Each shift includes a half-hour lunch break. The individual will work the shift with the greatest need on the days they are scheduled. Job Duties The following duties are illustrative and may include some or all of the tasks listed, as well as other related responsibilities assigned: Post various accounting transactions to ledgers, journals, or cash books manually, electronically, or mechanically, including necessary mathematical computations for record maintenance. Review, code, and process invoices, receipts, vouchers, and other accounting documents, ensuring mathematical accuracy, proper signatures, correct identification numbers, and relevant dates; assign appropriate program or activity codes; organize accounting documents by color, alphabetically, by date, or by title. File cards, invoices, and vouchers; type and proofread correspondence, statements, and forms; order and distribute office supplies; respond to telephone inquiries; sort and distribute mail; perform clerical tasks related to account clerk activities. Compile and type various financial reports, such as weekly and annual reports on cash, budget, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Assist in verifying purchase orders, payrolls, time sheets, time cards, vendor checks, budgets, and other accounting records and documents. Major Work Characteristics Knowledge of bookkeeping, agency and state bookkeeping policies and procedures, office practices and procedures. Proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, and decimals. Skill in operating adding machines or calculators, posting or accounting machines, and automated computerized equipment. Ability to understand bookkeeping procedures, maintain accurate records, gather, collate, and classify information about data, people, or things, and respond to routine telephone inquiries. Minimum Qualifications Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state as issued by the Board of Nursing. At least 24 months of experience as a registered nurse. One course or three months of experience in counseling. One course or three months of experience in interviewing. Three courses or nine months of experience in public relations. Three courses or nine months of experience in employee training and development. Six courses or eighteen months of experience in management. Six months of experience as a Nurse 2. Or an equivalent combination of the above qualifications may substitute for the experience required, but not for the mandatory licensure. Training and Development Not applicable.
