Accountant

AccountantAs a core member of the Gogo Corporate Accounting team, the Accountant is responsible for supporting an accurate and timely close process through the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis in accordance with U.S. GAAP.This role focuses on accounting activities related to debt, compensation and benefits, payroll, intercompany and other assigned areas as needed. The ideal candidate is a team player that brings strong attention to detail, a solid accounting foundation with public company accounting experience, and the ability to analyze activity, investigate variances, resolve discrepancies, and support consistent financial reporting.COME ON BOARD THE GOGO ACCOUNTING TEAM!How will you make a difference?Prepare and record entries related to corporate accounting including debt, investments, payroll, compensation and benefits, and various other accruals across domestic and international entitiesAssist with intercompany reconciliationsCoordinate with AP/AR teams to reconcile bank transactions to ERPMaintain supporting documentation for journal entriesReconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate general ledger supportIdentify, investigate, and resolve account reconciliation discrepancies in a timely mannerPartner with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and support the accuracy and completeness of financial reportingSupport month-end and year-end close activities while meeting established deadlinesAssist with internal and external audit requestsSupport accounting projects and ad hoc reporting and analysis as neededMaintain compliance with internal control and SOX requirementsQualifications2-4 years of progressive Accounting experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Accounting preferredRequired Skills, Talents, & ExperienceWorking knowledge of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with internal controlsIntermediate Excel skillsAbility to research and apply accounting guidance relevant to the businessHighly detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesIdentifies needs, solves problems, and follows tasks through to completionEffective verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Skills, Talents, & ExperiencePublic company accounting experience preferredAccrual accounting experience preferredExperience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; Microsoft Business Central experience is a plusAbility to manage changing priorities and meet deadlinesDemonstrates initiative and a proactive approach to assigned responsibilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentEqual Pay Disclosure(s)Base Pay: 60,000.00 - 75,000.00 USD AnnualTarget Annual Short-Term Incentive: Bonus Plan at 5% (% of Annualized Base Pay)Eligible for Incentive Stock Program: YesBenefits: Gogo offers competitive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage with plans that can fit each employee's needs.
