Job Title: Quality Control Inspector 

Location: Zelienople, PA 16063 — Onsite

Duration: 12+ Month Contract with possible FTE conversion

Pay Rate: $18/hr. on W2

Schedule: Mon-Friday, 08:00 am to 4:30 pm, flexible, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, even 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, with some O.T. Available (voluntary)

Interview time frame- Preferred between the hours of 4-6pm , but negotiable.

Job Description

We are seeking an Inspector 1, Quality Control to support quality inspection and receiving activities in a manufacturing environment. This is a temp-to-full-time opportunity and is well suited for candidates with quality, inspection, manufacturing, warehouse receiving, or mechanical inspection experience.

The successful candidate should be dependable, detail-oriented, accountable, and comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced environment. Training can be provided to candidates who demonstrate the right work ethic and attention to quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of incoming materials and maintain accurate quality records.
• Inspect received goods to ensure they meet quality requirements.
• Check and unload incoming shipments.
• Count, weigh, or measure incoming materials against invoices, purchase orders, bills of lading, or other records.
• Identify shortages, damaged materials, and non-conforming materials.
• Document quality issues and work with other departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain the receiving/inspection area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Route materials to the appropriate departments.
• Process inbound inventory and receiving documentation.
• Perform basic testing and sampling procedures.
• Maintain records related to receiving and quality inspections.
• Use basic measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Provide quality support to ongoing projects.
• Follow applicable procedures, specifications, and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree or professional certification is a plus.
• Previous quality, inspection, manufacturing, or receiving experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of mechanical inspection experience in an FDA- or ISO-regulated environment is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of inspection and sampling techniques.
• Familiarity with ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 is a plus.
• Familiarity with FDA QSR, ISO 9000, or ISO 13485 is a plus.
• Knowledge of mechanical/physical inspection techniques and tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges is preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Ability to read distribution documents, procedures, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be comfortable standing and/or walking for more than 4 hours per day.
