The Position

Wilson Elser's Washington D.C. Office seeks a Full Time Nurse Paralegal to join our expanding litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals seeking to expand their careers and who are interested in gaining fast-paced professional experience with a national law firm. Paralegal training will be provided if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and summarize medical records
• Create medical chronologies and narrative summaries of medical records
• Create billing record summaries in Excel
• Determine, prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness review
• Conduct investigative research on expert witnesses

Qualifications

• Licensed RN and Bachelor Degree Required
• Nurse Paralegal or Legal Nurse Consultant experience a plus, but paralegal training will be provided if needed
• Ability to quickly learn proprietary software systems and databases
• Strong written communication skills, including business writing and grammar
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Excellent organizational skills and a team player
• Ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment, manage deadlines and adapt to changing priorities to meet client needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Wilson Elser offers a competitive salary and benefits package designed to support our attorneys both professionally and personally. A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Salary Range:

$65,000 - $90,000 USD
