Director of NVOCC & Customs Brokerage Operations

Position Summary

The Director of NVOCC & Customs Brokerage Operations will be responsible for managing all aspects of freight forwarding and NVOCC activities while helping establish and maintain customs brokerage capabilities and regulatory compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage FMC OTI (NVOCC and Freight Forwarder) compliance requirements
• Maintain bonds, tariffs, licenses, and regulatory filings
• Support customs brokerage licensing and compliance initiatives
• Oversee ocean import and export operations
• Manage carrier and overseas agent relationships
• Develop and implement operational SOPs
• Support pricing and solution development
• Build and manage logistics operations teams

Qualifications

Required:
• 5+ years of experience in NVOCC, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or international logistics
• Strong knowledge of FMC regulations and OTI operations
• Experience managing ocean imports and exports
• Strong leadership and operational management skills

Preferred :
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB)
• Experience serving as a Qualifying Individual (QI)
• Experience managing an FMC-licensed NVOCC Company Description
