The team oversees capital strategy, treasury, credit, financial operations, compliance, accounting, and investor engagement. As Formic scales nationally, Finance ensures capital is deployed intelligently, portfolio performance remains strong, and the company maintains long-term financial resilience.Finance operates at the center of strategy and execution. It connects operational performance to capital markets, aligns deployment velocity with balance sheet strength, and supports executive decision-making with rigorous financial insight.In this role you will:Help respond to auditor requests and coordinate supporting materials across systems and stakeholdersSupport preparation for the 2026 audit cycle by helping create scalable, repeatable processesSupport the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesHelp improve the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of close deliverablesSupport financial reporting activities - internal reporting schedules and management reporting supportHelp identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, open items, and process gapsPlay an active role in maintenance cost reporting and tracking; driving initiatives for continuous improvementPartner with Supply Chain Manager to implement inventory (parts and assets) management processes. Collaborate on process improvements and operational excellence and complete quarterly inventory countsAssist with process improvements related to reconciliations, accruals, expense classification, close management, and documentationCreate and maintain clear documentation for recurring accounting processesWhat makes you a great fit:Required5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliationsExperience supporting financial audits, audit readiness, or external auditor requestsStrong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including comfort working with supporting schedules and account reconciliationsAbility to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive work to completionExceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-throughExceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills with a strong attention to detail.PreferredExperience with NetSuite or similar accounting systemsExperience improving close processes, accounting documentation, or audit support workflowsExperience working in a fast-paced environment with evolving systems and processesOur Total Rewards: At Formic, we believe people do their best work when they feel supported both professionally and personally.
