Nurse Practitioner (Pediatric Inpatient) - Night Shift

Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15224
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Day/ Night Shift

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a specialized pediatric inpatient hospital dedicated to providing exceptional care for neonates, infants, children, and young adults up to 21 years of age. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a pediatric hospital setting.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive inpatient care by assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing pediatric patients. The NP will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and families to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories.

• Assess, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients from birth through 21 years of age.

• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests and diagnostic studies.

• Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical findings.

• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with Pennsylvania state regulations.

• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and preventive healthcare.

• Communicate patient status, treatment plans, and progress with families and consulting providers.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care.

• Complete clinical documentation and administrative responsibilities accurately and timely.

• Participate in quality improvement, education, and research initiatives as appropriate.

• Graduate of an accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program.

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain.

• Ability to obtain prescriptive authority in Pennsylvania within 90 days of hire.

• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.

• 2+ years of Nurse Practitioner experience.

• Pediatric inpatient experience.

• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) certification.

• Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification.
