Compensation: $18.50 per hour
Schedule: Saturday to Sunday | 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a professional Unarmed Security Officer to support front desk security operations at a commercial facility in Owensboro. This position combines customer service, access management, and security monitoring to help maintain an organized and secure workplace.
The ideal candidate is dependable, courteous, and comfortable working in a reception style environment where attention to detail and effective communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Reception & Visitor Services

• Answer incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner
• Direct calls to the appropriate department or company representative
• Welcome visitors, contractors, and vendors upon arrival
• Provide general assistance while maintaining a professional first impression

Access Management

• Register guests and contractors according to established site procedures
• Verify visitor information before granting access
• Maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs
• Help ensure only authorized individuals enter designated areas

Security Monitoring

• Monitor fire alarm systems and report activations according to established procedures
• Observe activity within the reception area and surrounding entrances
• Report suspicious behavior, safety concerns, or security related issues promptly
• Assist with maintaining a secure and orderly facility environment

Documentation & Communication

• Complete activity logs and required security documentation
• Record visitor information and noteworthy events accurately
• Maintain communication with supervisors and client representatives
• Follow company policies, post orders, and client procedures throughout the shift

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Professional telephone etiquette
• Ability to remain organized while handling multiple responsibilities
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality
• Basic computer proficiency in recordkeeping and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, reception, front desk, or administrative support
• Experience managing visitor registration or access control
• Familiarity with commercial offices or industrial environments
• Experience monitoring fire alarm systems or building notification equipment
