To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position, please review this .The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity for a full time Lead HealthySteps Specialist to work in Miami, FL.The Lead HealthySteps Specialist provides support and assistance to specific programs or research studies.Core Responsibilities:* Coordinates internal and external resources for a flawless execution of programs.* Ensures resource availability and appropriate allocation.* Ensures that all program objectives and deadlines are met within scope and budget.* Assists department leadership in defining program scope and objectives.* Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility.* Develops a plan to monitor and track program progress.* Measures program performance using appropriate tools and techniques.* Manages changes to the program scope, schedule, and costs, using appropriate verification processes.* Reports concerns, program status, and progress to appropriate managing staff.* Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.* Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.Department Specific Functions:* Create annual reports for the national organization that oversees the HS program* Participate in monthly leadership meetings with program director and other lead specialists to address challenges, brainstorm solutions, review progress towards outcome goals, etc.* Communicate with medical personnel in their clinic* Train new HealthySteps staff and psychology students completing rotations in the ACC clinic* Work in a pediatric clinic along with pediatricians and other medical staff* Provide developmental guidance and parenting coaching to parents of young children, ages 0-3.* Complete screening measures on regular intervals to assess for developmental delays, parenting stress, safety in the home, and maternal mental health* Conduct follow up virtual calls with families**This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.****Core Qualifications:*** Bachelor's degree in relevant field required* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required* Operational Management: Optimizes day-to-day operations and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.* Organizational Development: Ability to implement strategies to improve organizational effectiveness, engagement, and manage change.* Financial Oversight: Knowledge of financial operations and management.* Team Leadership: Ability to create and maintain a cohesive and productive team environment, build positive working relationships and work collaboratively with others.* Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.***Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.***The University of Miami offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, tuition remission and more.UHealth-University of Miami Health System, South Florida's only university-based health system, provides leading-edge patient care powered by the ground breaking research and medical education at the Miller School of Medicine.
