Production Planner

Job Title This non-exempt position is in support of various programs including Virginia Class New Construction, SSW, Columbia Focus Factory and Delivered Ship availability. The successful candidate filling this position will be required to perform Detail Planning and/or Production Control functions which include, but are not limited to, Drawing reviews, MRP file load, Product Structuring, load or coordination of the load of SWSS and CPJ, Work Order management, software and hardware expediting in support of Work Order schedules, change processing, problem sheets and work completion closeout. In order to perform these functions, successful candidates will be required to interface with Operations, Engineering, Design, Material Systems, Configuration Management, Quality and other support organizations at various levels of management. The Individual filling this position will be called upon to represent planning at various Construction statuses, Process Improvement and Program Review meetings. The successful candidates will be expected to be aware of and in compliance with those attributes of Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Process Improvement as they apply to their position. This is an onsite position Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:30pm located in Groton, CT. Qualifications Required: High School diploma or GED 1-5 years of experience in Trade/Shipyard/Military/Planning/Scheduling Proficient Computer Skills Preferred: Prior shipyard or submarine experience Teamcenter experience 2 or 4 year College degree Employee Training and Mentorship experience Skills Good organization skills, Good verbal and written communication skills, Office operations skills
