Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Job Type: PRN, Nonexempt Schedule: 12‑hour shifts; nights 7p‑7a, every 3rd weekend rotation, on‑call and holidays. Variable night and day shifts available at both Maria Parham Health locations. Minimum of two shifts per month. Fully accredited by The Joint Commission and the College of American Pathologists, we provide advanced care through our Emergency Department, Maternity Center, Intensive and Progressive Care units, Medical/Surgical services, and inpatient rehabilitation. We also offer state‑of‑the‑art physical, occupational, and speech therapy on an outpatient basis. Our system extends to the Maria Parham Franklin facility in Louisburg with a fully equipped Emergency Department, specialized Behavioral Health units, and additional outpatient diagnostic services. Across 205 licensed beds, we provide advanced cardiac, cancer, respiratory, and rehabilitation care supported by cutting‑edge technology and key partnerships. How You'll Contribute A Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions across all age groups. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating respiratory disorders, administering and evaluating ordered therapies, collaborating with physicians to develop and implement individualized plans of care, responding to emergent situations such as codes, educating patients and families, maintaining respiratory equipment and supplies, and ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic medical record while adhering to evidence‑based practices and regulatory standards. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong critical‑thinking skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced and often stressful healthcare environment. Required are proficiency in multiple clinical software systems, effective communication skills in English, and a commitment to completing all required skills competency assessments within 90 days of hire. Current NC Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure with the NC Respiratory Care Board and current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials by the NBRC. BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. ACLS and PALS certification required within six (6) months of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
