The Accounting Consultant is a mid-level finance professional responsible for supporting core accounting functions, including general ledger activities, financial analysis, and reporting. This role ensures accuracy, compliance with GAAP, and supports financial close and audit processes. Primary Responsibilities Maintain general ledger accounts and support financial reporting activities Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements (minor) Support internal and external audit requests and documentation Ensure compliance with accounting policies, controls, and regulatory requirements Identify process improvement opportunities Partner with cross-functional teams You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR 10+ years experience in Accounting/Finance Extensive reconciliation process experience Experience with large data sets Banking experience Experience with financial reporting and account reconciliation Solid knowledge of GAAP principles Proven advanced Excel skills Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications ERP systems experience (Oracle, PeopleSoft) Experience with Data analytics tools SQL Experience with Fiserv or FDR Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution. comprehensive benefits package incentive and recognition programs equity stock purchase 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment.
