Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Time Management and Efficiency Teamwork Description: Unit Information: - Number of Beds: 36 - Number of Staff: 40 RNs - Patient Ratios: 1:5 Type of Staffing: - Day Shift: 8 RNs, 1 Charge RN, 1 Unit Secretary, 1 Manager, 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Night Shift: 8 RNs Type of Equipment: Bariatric fitted ADLs Wound Vacs Drains Lifts EMR - Meditech Typical Hiring Profile: Skill Set Most Recruited For: Must have skills: - Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Preferred or Nice to Have Skills: - Background in post-operative surgical areas such as vascular, bariatric, urology, general surgery, and colorectal surgery. Typical Procedures Performed: Maintenance of post-operative surgical procedure sites Wound care including packing, dressing changes, and wound vac maintenance Foley Catheter care including continuous bladder irrigation Ostomy appliance changes and maintenance Nasogastric tube insertion and suction TPN Blood administration Central line care and dressing changes Bedside shift report Best Personality Fit: Outgoing Customer service oriented Unit Guidelines/Policies: Prompt attendance, including clocking in and out on time and attending scheduled shifts. Open communication. Professional appearance. Attentive and responsive to patient needs.
