Mechanical Design Engineer EIT/PE (HVAC + Plumbing) • Orlando, FL / Hybrid Salary: $90,000 – $125,000 per year. Job Overview We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 3–5+ years of experience in HVAC and Plumbing Systems Design for Commercial, Retail, Healthcare, and other facilities. Successful candidates will possess knowledge of local and national codes and standards and experience coordinating with multiple disciplines. Responsibilities Contribute to the mechanical design process for new construction and renovation projects, with exposure to mission‑critical facilities. Assist with conceptual designs, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, and energy modeling. Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure code compliance, coordination, and constructability. Support construction administration tasks, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site visits. Help track project quality, schedule, and budget requirements. Engage with clients to understand design needs and contribute to solution development. Continue building technical and project management skills while working closely with senior engineers. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or higher). 3–5 years of experience in HVAC and Plumbing Systems Design. Preferred project experience in Commercial, Retail, Education, Healthcare, etc. EIT certification required; PE license is a plus (or actively pursuing licensure).
