Role Snapshot Location: Houston, TX (on-site at the Riverbend headquarters) Type: Full-time Works alongside: Riverbend's Managed Service Provider (MSP) and internal Data/Technology team Job Summary The IT Operations Coordinator is Riverbend's day-to-day internal IT point person and the face of a white-glove, concierge-level support experience for our employees. This role delivers fast, in-person help for immediate technology needs while coordinating closely with Riverbend's Managed Service Provider (MSP) to drive issues to resolution. Beyond triage, the Coordinator owns follow-through: tracking open tickets, coordinating with the MSP, and keeping employees informed until problems are fully resolved. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, highly organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable with modern business technology. Discretion and reliability are essential in a small, fast-moving firm where responsive, trustworthy support directly enables the team's work. Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the primary internal liaison between Riverbend employees and the MSP for day-to-day IT support, delivering a responsive, concierge-level experience. Provide prompt in-person support for hardware, peripherals, desk setups, printers, phones, and general office technology. Triage incoming IT requests, clarify user needs, resolve what can be handled directly, and escalate urgent or complex issues appropriately. Coordinate with the MSP and track open tickets end-to-end; drive timely resolution and communicate status clearly back to users. Keep conference rooms always-ready, including displays, cameras, microphones, and Microsoft Teams / Zoom setups. Support onboarding and offboarding logistics, including equipment preparation, access coordination, and workstation setup. Maintain IT inventory and self-service supplies, including spare equipment, chargers, and cables. Follow and reinforce good security and access practices in day-to-day support (e.g., device handling, credential hygiene, and prompt offboarding). Document recurring issues, support procedures, and equipment standards; recommend practical process improvements. Qualifications Experience in an IT support, helpdesk, desktop support, or IT operations role (corporate or professional-services environment preferred). Hands-on experience supporting end users, business hardware, and conference-room / A/V technology. Strong communication, organization, customer-service, and follow-up skills, with the judgment to prioritize and elevate. Available to work on-site full-time in Houston and to occasionally lift or move computer equipment. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience working with an MSP and/or a ticketing system. Working knowledge of laptops, peripherals, printers, and networking basics.
