Talent Acquisition Specialist

Blue Sea Educational Consulting is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven, and highly organized Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play an integral part in attracting, engaging, and hiring exceptional educational professionals who support students throughout Long Island. Working closely with the Director of Recruiting & Retention, you will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned positions while helping execute strategic recruiting initiatives, employer branding efforts, and talent pipeline development. Key Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and guiding candidates through the hiring process Conduct phone screens and virtual interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications, experience, career goals, and overall fit Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, job boards, and outreach initiatives Partner with hiring managers and department leaders to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process to deliver an exceptional candidate experience Present qualified candidates to hiring managers and coordinate interviews, feedback, and hiring decisions Extend offers and support candidates through onboarding and credentialing processes as needed Recruitment Marketing & Employer Branding Support recruitment marketing initiatives designed to increase applicant flow and strengthen Blue Sea's employer brand Create and manage engaging job postings across multiple recruiting platforms Utilize LinkedIn, Facebook, Indeed, and other social media channels to attract educational professionals Assist with developing creative recruitment campaigns, referral initiatives, and talent attraction strategies Represent Blue Sea Educational Consulting at career fairs, networking events, university recruitment events, and professional conferences as needed Talent Pipeline & Relationship Management Develop long-term relationships with educators and related service providers for current and future opportunities Maintain regular communication with passive candidates and existing provider networks Build partnerships with colleges, universities, and professional organizations to expand recruiting efforts Stay informed on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and recruitment best practices within education staffing Recruiting Operations Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within the applicant tracking system and internal databases Track recruiting metrics, hiring activity, and pipeline progress to support leadership reporting Ensure candidate documentation and hiring records remain organized and compliant Assist with process improvements that enhance recruiting efficiency and the overall candidate experience Collaborate with internal departments to support workforce planning and staffing initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred 2+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, staffing, human resources, or a related field preferred Experience managing full-cycle recruitment is strongly preferred Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Strong relationship-building and networking abilities Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Comfortable using applicant tracking systems, recruiting platforms, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace Experience recruiting within education, healthcare, or professional services is a plus Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, or other sourcing platforms is preferred Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys connecting with people, takes initiative, and is energized by finding the right person for the right opportunity.
