Finance Business Partner

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

Bayer Crop Science has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to support the North America business. This role is designed for a finance professional with strong business partnership experience, broad financial acumen, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights that guide leaders in making informed operational and strategic decisions.

The Finance Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, with primary responsibility for supporting cost center spending, forecast accuracy, scenario development, financial analysis, and decision support. This role will partner closely with stakeholders to manage operating spend, evaluate capital and resource trade-offs, explain financial performance, and support decisions that align business priorities with financial commitments and guardrails.

• Serve as a trusted finance partner to business leaders through proactive engagement, strong relationships, and clear financial guidance

• Provide accurate and timely financial tracking and outlooks with clear explanations of key drivers, risks, and opportunities

• Develop actionable financial scenarios and decision support that help leaders evaluate options, understand trade-offs, and make informed choices within financial guardrails

• Drive improved financial discipline around resource allocation, capital requests, discretionary spend, and investment prioritization

• Prepare business-ready presentations, dashboards, and analysis that simplify complex financial information and support leadership discussions

• Identify and escalate financial risks, opportunities, and corrective actions needed to deliver business and financial commitments

• Drive continuous improvement in recurring finance processes, reporting, scenario modeling, and planning activities to increase efficiency, accuracy, and insight generation

• Advise and support the business in areas related to future state financial performance, providing finance consulting and coaching by interpreting financial results and measures in the context of business operations

• Deliver forward-looking financial insights on market conditions, competitors, and alternative business scenarios

• Improve the quality of internal and external financial data to enhance business decision-making and performance

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related business field

• Progressive finance, accounting, FP&A, or business partnering experience

• Strong financial systems experience, including SAP and D1, with the ability to navigate financial data, reporting structures, cost centers, and planning processes

• Broad financial acumen across P&L management, cost center spending, capital planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial controls

• Experience supporting spend management, resource planning, and performance discussions for functions or business areas with significant cost center activity

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree, CPA, CMA, or MBA

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $108,160.00 - $162,240.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
