BEPC is actively looking for Content Coordinator Audiobook Production & Catalog, in Newark, NJ area!

W2 Contract 9 months with possible extensions!

Pay Rate: $28.00 - $31.50/hour - Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Work Model: Onsite role 5 days per week

Location Requirement: Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Newark, NJ work location and meet the onsite requirement.

Summary of the Role:

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Content Coordinator (TEMP) to join our clients site in Newark, NJ. This role will support the accuracy, completeness, and quality of the audiobook catalog while supporting content delivery to millions of listeners.

The position will support production queues for internal and external audiobook providers, gather necessary elements for audiobook production, track titles through production, and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely releases. The role will also manage updates to existing products using content management systems and ONIX metadata and track changes to product records after publication.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Queue Management:

• Support the production queue for internal and external audiobook providers.
• Gather necessary elements for audiobook production.
• Prioritize workflow based on stakeholder input.
• Track titles through the production queue.
• Troubleshoot issues with various teams and external partners to ensure timely release.

Catalog Maintenance:

• Manage updates for existing products using content management systems and ONIX metadata.
• Make and track changes to product records post-publication.

Main Qualifications:

• Education : B.A./B.S. or equivalent degree, preferably in Humanities.
• Experience : Minimum 1 year of professional proofreading/copyediting experience.
• Minimum 1 year of editorial/operations experience in audiobook or podcast publishing.
• Technical proficiency in:
• Windows operating environment.
• Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
• Database concepts and best practices.
• Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
• Cross-functional team collaboration.
• Attention to detail.
• Avid consumer of online media, including audiobooks, podcasts, and digital content.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong research skills, including SEO, social media, and web-based tools.
• Airtable.
• Experience in audiobook, publishing, or digital media content operations.
• Knowledge of ONIX metadata standards.
• Project management and process improvement experience.
• Understanding of content ingestion workflows.
