Family Law AttorneyPosition OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Family Law Attorney to join our firm. The successful candidate will represent clients in a range of family law matters including divorce, child custody, support, and related post-judgment issues and will manage cases from intake through resolution. This role requires strong legal analysis, advocacy in negotiation and litigation, and excellent client communication and case-management skills.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise and counsel clients on family law matters including divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, and property division.Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other court documents.Represent clients at mediations, pre-trial conferences, hearings, and trials as needed.Develop case strategy, maintain case calendars, and manage deadlines, discovery, and documentation.Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolution agreements that align with client goals.Maintain clear, timely communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel; provide regular case updates.Coordinate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case preparation and file management.Prepare and manage billing, timekeeping, and client intake processes in accordance with firm policies.Stay current on changes in family law statutes, case law, and courtroom procedures, and participate in continuing legal education.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active admission to the state Bar.2+ years of experience practicing family law preferred; new admits with strong internship or clerkship experience will be considered.Experience with divorce, custody, and support matters; proven ability in both negotiation and courtroom litigation.Strong drafting skills for pleadings, settlement agreements, parenting plans, and financial disclosures.Excellent client counseling, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills.Proficient legal research skills and familiarity with state family law statutes and local court rules.Ability to manage a caseload independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Comfortable with electronic case management, e-filing systems, and standard office software; experience with billing/timekeeping systems.Bilingual proficiency (Spanish or other language) a plus; trial experience preferred.Benefits- FIrm Pays for Parking - 70% medical coverage paid by Firm - Cash Basis Bonus > 1800 hours - 3x Salary in Life Insurance - 3% Match on 401K
