Our extensive Program of Work includes broad areas of Mission Engineering & Systems Integration, Strategic Advantage & Warfighter Support, and Operational Enablers to federal government and commercial entities across the defense and national security sectors.Job Description:The Requirements Analyst is an analytical and mission-focused role responsible for capturing, analyzing, structuring, and managing operational and technical requirements throughout the system acquisition and software development lifecycles. Operating within federal defense and national security programs, this professional serves as the primary liaison between end-users, mission stakeholders, software developers, and systems engineers. The Requirements Analyst translates complex operational needs into clear, actionable functional specifications, user stories, and traceability matrices, ensuring delivered solutions fully align with federal client capabilities and mission objectives.Work Model:Our people-first culture prioritizes the benefits of flexibility and collaboration. The ability to meet across teams at the office and cross-pollinate information is critical to our success.Responsibilities:The Requirements Analyst provides end-to-end requirement lifecycle management across ISA’s program portfolio. They are responsible for facilitating requirements gathering workshops, mapping capability gaps, and maintaining formal requirement baselines. Working closely with Project Managers, Systems Engineers, Software Architects, and government leads, the incumbent decomposes high-level mission needs into granular technical user stories, maintains Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM), supports User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and manages baseline changes to minimize scope creep and ensure seamless solution delivery.Duties:Elicits detailed technical, functional, and operational requirements from government leads, subject matter experts (SMEs), and operational end-users.Decomposes high-level capability requirements into actionable user stories, detailed acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and use cases.Establishes and maintains formal Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM) to map requirements from initial concept through design, testing, and deployment.Analyzes system requirements for clarity, completeness, consistency, feasibility, and alignment with federal mission objectives.Develops business process flowcharts, \"As-Is\" and \"To-Be\" workflow models, system boundary diagrams, and data flow models.Facilitates requirement prioritization sessions, backlog grooming ceremonies, and stakeholder review workshops within Agile/Scrum or traditional acquisition frameworks.Manages baseline modification requests, impact assessments, and change control processes to evaluate the technical and cost impact of proposed scope changes.Designs test scenarios, validation criteria, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts to ensure technical implementations satisfy defined requirements.Authors standard operating procedures (SOPs), requirements management plans, system user guides, and technical briefing materials.Collaborates with systems engineering and software development teams to clarify functional intent and resolve requirement ambiguities during implementation.Reinforces ISA’s corporate culture and mission-focused delivery approach.Other Duties:Duties, responsibilities, and activities can change at any time based on position requirements. This is an individual contributor role reporting to a Technical Director, Project Lead, or Senior Business Analyst.Clearance Required:As a condition of employment, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated Public Trust determination or Tier-1 equivalent, consistent with requirements set forth in U.S. law, federal regulation, and executive order. Applicants must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status upon hiring. All ISA employees are required to uphold and maintain the trustworthiness and suitability requirements of the U.S. federal government.Experience Required:8+ years of direct experience in requirements engineering, business analysis, or systems analysis within a federal government or defense contracting environment.Demonstrated proficiency in eliciting requirements and translating them into user stories, operational models, and technical specifications.Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM) using enterprise tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, IBM DOORS, or Confluence).Practical experience in Agile/Scrum and traditional waterfall Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) environments.Strong understanding of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methodology, test planning, and defect tracking.Exceptional analytical, technical troubleshooting, and structured problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field required.Certification:Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), or Agile credentials (e.g., CSM, CSPO, SAFe Agilist) are preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Priority Dispatch
