Real Estate Finance Attorney

Location: San Francisco, California (with the ability to work in a hybrid manner) We are seeking a Real Estate Finance Sr. Associate, Counsel or Partner attorney to join a growing Real Estate Transactional Practice Group. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage real estate finance transactions, including construction and permanent loans, mezzanine and preferred equity financing, and loan workouts and modifications, representing both lenders and borrowers. Work with complex debt and equity financing structures and transactions Prepare and review purchase and sale transaction documentation Represent clients in commercial real estate purchase and sale transactions. Partner with senior real estate partners on transition planning, including gradual assumption of client relationships as part of the firm's succession planning for retiring partners. Serve as primary or co-primary relationship attorney for clients, with responsibility for day-to-day client service, staffing matters, and business development. Advise clients in general real estate matters (purchase and sales, leases, secured real property transactions, real estate development and construction, land use, real property taxes, environmental risk management) Qualifications : 8+ years of experience across sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including equity investment transactions (such as joint ventures and co-investment arrangements), acquisitions and dispositions, and real estate financing, is preferred. Significant experience handling commercial real estate purchase, sale, and acquisition transactions from start to finish. A track record of independent client relationships and business generation. Strong deal management and negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach to practice.
