Manage and evaluate recovery and wellness initiatives, peer support networks, and the creation of safe, inclusive environments that foster student health and resilience. Design, implement, and assess prevention programs, workshops, and awareness campaigns addressing substance use, mental health, stress management, and other wellness-related topics. Provide oversight and leadership in assisting students involved in the student conduct process by identifying barriers to success and guiding efforts to overcome challenges through holistic support services. Supervise and support the development of individualized action plans promoting rehabilitation, personal growth, mental health, and successful reintegration into the academic community. Champion and direct the application of restorative justice principles to promote accountability, healing, and community strengthening, helping students repair harm and rebuild relationships. Lead program accreditation and compliance processes by collaborating with ARHE, the Louisiana Board of Regents, and other relevant organizations to ensure program quality, effectiveness, and continuous improvement. Behavioral Standards: 30% Oversee the evaluation of prevention and wellness programs, guiding continuous improvements based on participant feedback, outcome data, and best practices in health promotion and student support. Ensure institutional compliance with all legal, ethical, and policy requirements regarding the management, confidentiality, and security of student health and conduct records. Manage the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to student conduct, wellness program participation, and behavioral outcomes, preparing comprehensive reports to inform strategic planning and resource allocation. Serve as a key liaison among students, faculty, staff, and campus wellness resources to promote clear communication, transparency, and alignment of expectations throughout student conduct, wellness, and recovery processes. Lead and facilitate restorative justice circles, conflict resolution, and wellness-focused interventions for students involved in substance-related misconduct, behavioral concerns, or mental health challenges. Oversee accurate documentation and maintenance of records related to student involvement in recovery, wellness, restorative justice, and prevention education initiatives. Monitor student progress across recovery and wellness programs, coordinating with campus counseling, health services, academic support, and other offices to ensure comprehensive follow-up, accountability, and holistic care. Prepare and present outcome reports on recovery, prevention, wellness, and restorative justice efforts for internal use and external stakeholders, supporting continuous program enhancement and institutional transparency. Institutional Support: 20% Assist students in understanding their rights, responsibilities, and available wellness resources as members of the College community. Provide educational programs and resources to promote awareness of campus wellness services, and holistic student support systems. Support students through the conduct process by offering guidance, resources, and referrals to wellness services, counseling, and other support programs as needed. Represent the Collegiate Recovery Program and wellness services on campus-wide committees, contributing to strategic planning, policy development, and decision-making processes related to student success, mental health, academic affairs, and institutional initiatives. Lead and advocate for key institutional initiatives that align with student success, academic progression, and overall wellness, ensuring these programs are integrated into the broader goals of the college. Actively promote and encourage participation in internal campaigns that support comprehensive student outcomes, including career exploration, transfer pathways, academic testing, and wellness initiatives such as mental health awareness and stress management. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and departments to increase visibility and involvement in these campaigns. Contribute to the achievement of the institution’s strategic priorities by aligning departmental goals with the college’s mission, vision, and values, fostering a cohesive approach to student success, wellness, and workforce readiness. Lead and participate in institutional events, orientations, and workshops that support student success and well-being, encouraging faculty, staff, and students to engage with campus resources related to career services, academic testing, transfer processes, and wellness supports including counseling, health education, and resilience-building programs. Team Relations: 20% Collaborate with campus departments, mental health professionals, wellness centers, and local recovery organizations to ensure wraparound support for students engaged in recovery from substance use disorders and other wellness needs. Build strategic partnerships with campus wellness units, community organizations, and recovery networks to expand access to comprehensive supportive services, including mental health counseling, stress management, and holistic wellness resources for students in recovery. Educate students, faculty, and staff on substance use recovery, harm reduction strategies, healthy decision-making, and mental health awareness, and available recovery and wellness support resources. Facilitate educational outreach programs focused on collegiate recovery, mental health and overall student wellness, including presentations to the college community and local stakeholders on recovery and wellness-related issues. Provide leadership in the development and advancement of the department’s recovery-and wellness-centered philosophy, mission, and programmatic goals. Develop and foster collaborative relationships with key campus departments such as Academic Advising, Safety and Security, Enrollment Services, Student Financial Services, Career Services, Academic Affairs, and Counseling Services, and integrate recovery and wellness resources into campus-wide support systems. Contribute to the development, review and revision of student conduct, recovery, and wellness-related policies, ensuring alignment with best practices in collegiate recovery, mental health support, and student well-being. Serve as a recovery-and wellness-informed resource for faculty and staff, offering guidance on addressing substance-related and mental health concerns, early intervention strategies, and trauma-informed approaches. Lead training sessions for faculty, staff, and student leaders that incorporate recovery and wellness awareness, student conduct education, and best practices for supporting students holistically. Develop and deliver recovery-affirming and wellness-promoting educational programs that encourage positive decision-making, accountability, community wellness, resilience, and personal growth. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with local law enforcement, legal advisors, health providers, and recovery-supportive external agencies to coordinate support and crisis response for students navigating legal, health, or substance-related challenges. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications 3 years’ experience in higher education, student affairs, or medical related field such as school counseling or behavioral clinician experience OR Associates degree with two years of experience listed above. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must be able to demonstrate the proven abilities of intellectual reasoning, power of persuasion, and consistent dedication to the position. Mathematical Skills: Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: High Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Ability to learn to operate College-specific software and applications. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Criminal Background Clearance. Valid Driver’s License.
