Framer / Truss Assembler Light Gauge Steel Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour Pay may vary based on experience and qualifications. Schedule: Monday Thursday, 5:30 AM 4:00 PM Overtime: Voluntary overtime may be available on Fridays Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking dependable and hardworking Framers / Truss Assemblers to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, framing, manufacturing, or a similar hands‑on field and be comfortable performing repetitive physical work. This position involves assembling light‑gauge steel trusses and components, using hand tools and screw guns, reading work orders or basic diagrams, and safely handling materials throughout the production process. Construction or framing experience is strongly preferred, but qualified candidates who are mechanically inclined and willing to learn may also be considered. Key Responsibilities Assemble and produce light‑gauge steel trusses and frame components. Read work orders and follow instructions from the assembly leader. Read a tape measure accurately, including measurements to 1/16 of an inch. Stage precut materials, web materials, and screws for production. Assist with jig setup and position materials by hand. Use handheld screw guns and/or production equipment to connect joints. Cut, catch, stack, and label materials as needed. Label and stack completed trusses. Move materials to stands, loaders, and designated production areas. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all safety procedures and production instructions. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Previous construction, framing, truss assembly, manufacturing, or related experience. Experience using a screw gun and hand tools. Ability to read and understand basic plans, diagrams, or work instructions. Ability to accurately read a tape measure. Experience with saw cutting is a plus, but training may be available. Ability to assemble and build frames or truss‑type components. Strong attention to detail. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment. Willingness to perform repetitive physical work. Physical Requirements This is a physically active position requiring employees to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently reach and use hands to handle materials and tools. Lift and move materials throughout the production area. Frequently lift and/or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move materials weighing up to 75 pounds. Perform repetitive tasks involving bending, stacking, positioning, and moving materials. Work around production equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures. These requirements are consistent with the position's official job description. PPE / Dress Requirements Steel‑toe or safety‑toe shoes/boots required. Presentable shorts are permitted.
