Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Patient Service Rep for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented healthcare administrative professional who enjoys supporting patients, coordinating appointments, managing authorizations, and helping a busy medical office operate efficiently.

As a Patient Service Rep, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients and internal care teams in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare services environment. Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate patient scheduling across multiple departments while helping ensure a smooth and positive patient experience.
- Provide high-volume phone support, including answering patient questions, routing calls, and assisting with appointment-related needs.
- Process, track, and manage patient authorizations with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Use EPIC to update patient records, manage scheduling information, and support daily administrative workflows.
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and internal departments regarding appointments, authorizations, and care coordination needs.
- Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism while working in a busy healthcare setting.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $27.00 to $29.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-Hire.

- Manage patient authorizations, documentation, and administrative follow-up.
- Provide professional phone support and patient service across multiple care coordination needs.
- Use EPIC to maintain accurate patient information and support office operations.

- 3 to 5 years of experience in a patient service, medical office, healthcare administration, or related role.
- Experience with patient scheduling, appointment coordination, and authorization processing.
- Proficiency using EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and internal teams.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality, service excellence, and accurate administrative support.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in a high-volume healthcare services or public health administration setting.
- Familiarity with multi-department scheduling and care coordination workflows.
- Bilingual communication skills may be helpful in supporting a diverse patient population.
