Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring Fetal Heart Monitoring and NRP certification on night shift.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts on a 36 or 48 hour weekly basis
• EPIC experience highly preferred
• Floating required to Delano facility as needed

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• ACLS certification required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS)
• NRP certification required (AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS)
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery specialty required, with recent experience within the last 3 months

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and develop care plans
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide safe and compassionate care
• Participate in discharge planning and provide patient/family education
• Holiday RTO will not be approved
• RTO requests are limited to 5 days or fewer for consideration
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates
• Candidates with prior licensure actions will not be considered
