What You’ll Do As a Specialties Patient Service Specialist , you will be the welcoming voice and smiling face guiding patients through their specialty care journey. You will: Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and community partners Maintain confidentiality and follow all MyCHN policies regarding PHI Professionally manage high‑volume calls and document interactions accurately Assist patients with questions; route advanced concerns to leadership Schedule and confirm specialty appointments for multiple locations Review and update patient charts, documents, and portal information Communicate co‑pay, deductible, and insurance details Reconcile payments and maintain an accurate cash drawer Thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative healthcare environment Travel throughout the Houston area as needed to support specialty clinic operations What You Bring Required: High school diploma or GED Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask, problem‑solve, and stay organized Comfort working with diverse patient populations Basic computer/office equipment skills Willingness and ability to travel within the Houston area Preferred: Bilingual: English & Spanish Medical or dental front office experience Who Thrives Here Someone who is… Empathetic Positive and self‑motivated A team collaborator Detail‑oriented A strong patient advocate Position Details Status: Full‑Time, Non‑Exempt Department: Medical – Specialties Reports To: Associate Director of Specialties Location: MyCHN Clinics across Greater Houston Exposure Level: Bloodborne Pathogens – Level 1 (High) Join a Team That Makes a Difference If you’re ready to grow your career, uplift your community, and be part of something meaningful— we want to meet you.
