About the Role

Steel & O’Brien Manufacturing is looking for a motivated Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you’ll work in a controlled cleanroom environment using advanced welding equipment to create high-quality products. This is a great opportunity for someone with machine operation experience who wants to grow their skills in a structured and quality-driven setting.

What You’ll Do

• Operate orbital welding equipment to work on stainless steel tubing
• Prepare and align parts before welding to ensure accuracy
• Inspect welds using microscopes and other tools to ensure quality standards
• Perform basic machine adjustments and routine maintenance
• Use hand tools to support assembly and production tasks
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized cleanroom environment
• Follow all safety procedures and cleanliness guidelines
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
• Keep records of work performed, inspections, and equipment status
• Identify ways to improve processes, quality, and efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a machine operator, welder, or in a manufacturing environment
• Welding experience or completion of a welding program is a plus
• Basic understanding of weld quality and inspection
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom or controlled environment
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and grow in welding and manufacturing skills
• Experience using microscopes or inspection tools is helpful
• Safe use of hand tools and equipment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chester, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
