The Ramp Supervisor oversees ramp agents to ensure safe, efficient aircraft ground handling, coordinates operations and training, and collaborates with airport personnel for timely turnarounds while maintaining high safety and service standards.

The Ramp Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of ramp agents and ensuring the efficient, safe handling of aircraft on the ground. This position involves coordinating activities such as baggage handling, aircraft towing, and servicing aircraft, while adhering to strict safety and operational protocols. You will be pivotal in training and mentoring team members and coordinating with flight crews and other airport personnel to ensure timely aircraft turnarounds. Additionally, this role requires quick decision-making, effective problem-solving, and maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include supervising the ramp team operations, coordinating ramp activities, training and mentoring ramp team members, monitoring team compliance with regulations, conducting pre-shift briefings, overseeing the proper handling of baggage, managing communication between the ramp team, flight crew, and ground operations, ensuring proper use and maintenance of ground support equipment, implementing and enforcing safety measures, responding to and managing operational issues and emergencies, facilitating efficient teamwork, conducting performance evaluations, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, liaising with other airport departments, maintaining accurate records of ramp operations, promoting a culture of safety and professionalism, exemplifying PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards, and performing any additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications include being 18 years of age or older, eligible to work in Canada, possessing a valid, provincially issued permanent driver's license, communicating effectively in English, having a minimum of 2 years of experience in ramp operations or a related aviation field, proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, strong knowledge of ramp safety and operational procedures, ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, eligible to pass a background check and obtain and maintain a RAIC, and being flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
