Job Summary and Qualifications

The Certified Central Sterile Technicianis responsible forproper decontamination, cleaning, assembly,sterilizationand storage of instrumentation for surgery and outside departments.

What you will do in this role:

• You will prepare instruments and supplies through cleaning, packing,sterilizing,and storing procedures.

• You will understandthe principlesof sterilization techniques andoperatesterilization equipment.

• You will assemble all instruments, trays, and drill drays for operating rooms according to policies and procedures.

• You will perform equipment distribution and routing cleaning and maintenance.

• You will perform crash cart restocking/exchange.

• You will follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment asrequired.

What qualifications you will need:

• Cert Sterile Proc/DistribTech, or Certified Registered Central Service Technician, or Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT), or Certified Surgical Technician (CST)
