Cook

Position Summary The cook will prepare meals and follow establishment recipes. Duties include preparing ingredients, adhering to the restaurant menu, and following food health and safety procedures. The cook will cook, clean, assist other cooks and staff, and deliver food in a fast-paced environment. Work may include operating a grill, oven, or fryer. Key Responsibilities Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstations Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc. Preparing oven, utensils, and grill for shift Taking orders from wait staff or computerized system Cooking orders according to food health and safety standards Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes Handling multiple food orders at one time Monitoring new orders as they arrive Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides Delivering food orders to wait staff in a timely manner Sanitizing and cleaning workstations and utensils Reordering stock and food supplies Monitoring other cooks and team members Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed Qualifications / Skills Ability to work during peak business hours, including Fridays, Saturdays and special events Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with co-workers Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture Ability to multi‑task, prioritize and organize Education and/or Experience Must be at least 18 years of age Essential Physical Functions Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 30 hours a week Ability to stand or walk for 2–8 hours per day Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, and carry Must be able to work in warm environments Work environment: exposure to food, liquor, mixing devices, drink machines, water, sanitizers, cleaning products, knives, other sharp objects, and slippery floors #J-18808-Ljbffr
