$30-50/ hour for experienced candidates.
The Swim Instructor will teach swimming skills to children aged 3 to 12 years, following a pre-set curriculum designed for small class sizes of 4-6 students. The role involves demonstrating swimming techniques, managing the class effectively, and engaging young learners to build confidence and competence in the water while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
Responsibilities
- Follow pre-set curriculum for lesson planning
- Assess swimming skills of young students
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and strokes
- Manage small classes of 4-6 children
- Engage and motivate children aged 3-12 years
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
- Communicate minimally with parents or guardians as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level swim instruction experience
- Certification preferred but not required at time of hire
- Commitment to attain certification within 6 months of start date
- Water Safety Instructor certification preferred but not required
- Knowledge of swimming techniques and swim strokes
- Comfortable leading children ages 3-12 years
