This position is located in the Accounting Office of the Administrative Services Division and is responsible for independently performing professional accounting duties in the establishment and maintenance of accounts and financial records for the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet). This position requires clear, accurate, and professional communication with co-workers, supervisors, program personnel, and control agencies in fiscal control activities. Effective July 1, 2025, California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that state employees shall receive a three percent (3%) reduction in pay in exchange for five (5) hours of PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly. The salary range(s) included in this job advertisement do not reflect the 3% reduction in pay.
