Job Summary: Provides patient services including greeting, check-in, scheduling and medical assisting while delivering excellent service and contributing to the smooth flow of practice operations. Reports to the manager with input from assigned physicians, nurses or other health care providers.

Location: Boston

Schedule: 24 hours per week

• Three 8-hour shifts
• Rotating Saturdays, approximately two per month
• Exact daily hours to be confirmed

About the Role

Join a small, collaborative medical infusion team providing care to adults managing a range of chronic health conditions.

As a Clinical Practice Assistant, you will combine hands-on patient support with scheduling and front desk responsibilities. You will welcome patients, obtain weights and vital signs, support nurses on the infusion unit, and help coordinate each patient's visit.

What You'll Do

• Welcome patients and assist with check-in
• Escort patients to the infusion area
• Obtain and document patient weights and vital signs
• Remove IVs as directed by the nursing team
• Assist with patient transfers when needed
• Communicate patient needs and relevant information to nurses
• Schedule appointments, diagnostic services, and laboratory testing
• Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information
• Collect co-payments and support billing documentation
• Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and pre-certifications
• Prepare schedules, patient charts, and other required documents
• Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate professionally by phone and in person

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
• MA, EMT, CNA, LNA certificate or diploma; or at least 5 months of direct patient care experience in a clinical or research setting, such as: experience working as a medical assistant (MA), a patient care technician (PCT) or a clinical nursing assistant (CNA); nursing or medical student with completion of one clinical rotation.

Pay Range: $21.00 - $28.26

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
