Job Overview Outside Sales Representative – Wholesale Tire, Inc. Location 3160 Charlestown Road – Kearneysville, WV 25430 About the Role Wholesale Tire, Inc. is the largest independent tire dealer in West Virginia. We’ve been servicing the state since 1950. We are looking for an outside tire sales representative in our Martinsburg location. As an outside commercial sales representative you will be responsible for growing sales in a defined territory. Your responsibilities include learning our product lines, calling on existing customers, and generating new business. Responsibilities Maintain existing business and establish prospective business through value-driven customer specific product and service recommendations. Manage Heavy Truck, OTR, Agricultural, and Light Truck customer base in the given area. Utilize our internal software to build customer profiles, submit orders, and quote customers. Resolve customer issues by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations. Monitor local competition by gathering current market information on pricing, products, and delivery and service capabilities. Ethically meet and exceed sales and profitability expectations. Always represent yourself and the company professionally as well as maintain a professional appearance. Willingness to assist with various duties outside of normal functions such as inventory counts, occasional deliveries, store coverage, etc. Work closely and as a team player with store, distribution and office support personnel. Perform a variety of manual tasks which may include light and heavy lifting of commercial tires and wheels, standing, bending, sitting and squatting. Self-schedule and manage time appropriately. Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of company-supported products and services to provide accurate information to customers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational skills as well as attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to self-start. Ability to prospect new business, form an action plan, and successfully execute it. Other duties may be assigned as requested by management. Qualifications 3+ years of progressive sales experience in a related field. Driver’s license & clean driving record. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Related Field preferred. Proven tire sales experience (1-3 years). Computer literate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to sell and close sales over the phone. Must meet sales quotas. Strong organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to prospect new business and close deals. Excellent time management.
