Payroll Specialist Location: One Union Place, Hartford, CT Modalitly: Hybrid Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 Work Type: Full Time; Full Company Benefits Package Join the Propark Payroll Team! Propark is looking for a detail‑oriented Payroll Systems Specialist to join our growing team. Reporting to the Payroll Systems Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our payroll systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance, along with processing end‑to‑end payroll cycles from start to finish. You'll thrive in this role if you're motivated, proactive, and customer‑service oriented, with deep hands‑on expertise in payroll systems. Experience with UKG Ready Mainframe is required; experience with ADP Workforce Now is an added plus. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To System Administration & Configuration Perform updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting within the UKG system, with a focus on payroll profiles and calculations. Build calculation rules, perform system corrections, and conduct testing to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support system implementations and acquisitions. Payroll Processing Process full‑cycle bi‑weekly payroll for 600+ employees. Run weekly and monthly payroll processes and troubleshoot issues that arise. Process wage increases and calculate retro pay as needed. Ensure all transactional processes comply with established policies and procedures. Auditing & Reporting Audit employee payroll data for accuracy and integrity. Prepare payroll reports for audits and regulatory compliance. Assist in preparing accounting reports. Support benefit‑related payroll projects, withholdings, and reporting. Team Support Collaborate with the payroll team to maintain compliant, efficient processes. Serve as a backup for payroll department responsibilities and processes as needed. Required Qualifications Recent experience (within the last three years) with UKG Ready Mainframe. 5+ years of payroll experience. Understanding of and experience with union CBAs (Collective Bargaining Agreements). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growing, multi-company environment. Preferred Experience with ADP Workforce Now. Skills & Attributes Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
