Barista

The Barista is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming guest experience while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and tea beverage offerings with consistency and attention to detail. This role requires strong product knowledge, efficient service, cleanliness, and professionalism while maintaining a hospitable and organized station. Baristas are expected to communicate effectively with guests and team members, uphold service standards, and contribute to an exceptional overall guest experience.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso and other beverage items with consistency, accuracy, and attention to quality standards
• Deliver food and beverages to guests while maintaining knowledge of dining room sections, table numbers, and service flow
• Provide warm, professional, and hospitality-driven service while assisting guests with questions and requests
• Support communication between the kitchen, bar, and dining room to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stocking of barista station throughout service
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and beverage preparation standards
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily mise-en-place responsibilities to prepare all service areas for operation

Service & Guest Experience

• Ensure barista station meets the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health regulations
• Approach guest interactions with warmth, confidence, and approachability
• Create a welcoming, comfortable, and memorable impression for the guests throughout service
• Demonstrate teamwork and support fellow staff during service
• Uphold all service standards, reservation notes, and allergy protocols

Qualifications:

• Experience in fine dining, upscale hospitality, or beverage focused restaurant environments preferred
• 1 + years of professional barista experience
• Ability to multitask and maintain composure during busy service periods
• Passion for hospitality, food, coffee and tea, cocktails and continued learning
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8+ hours), and to crouch, bend, and lift or move with or without reasonable accommodation
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary: $11.35 per hour with tip credit
