Production Lead - 2nd Shift Location: Gilman, WI Job Id: 257 # of Openings: 1 Production Lead for 2nd shift Production This position will support the room supervisor with directing employees and ensuring that all daily production goals are achieved. Production team members rotate in various jobs to fill boxes with hot cheese while following all safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements. Pay Rate: $24.50/hour plus a $0.50/hour increase after 90 days of employment Work Schedule: 3:40pm - 2:30am Monday through Thursday (and every other Friday) Bonus: New hires are eligible for a $500 bonus after 3 months of employment and a second $500 bonus after 6 months of employment. Responsibilities Learn and understand the basic operation of the fill and cook room machines Support the room supervisor with managing the daily workflow and schedule Oversee production room to ensure quality product is produced in a safe manner Provide training, coaching, and feedback to ensure team members work efficiently and safety Record and account for any variances from planned production Count and record finished block Order correct flavor of cheese from dock employee Follow the daily schedule and adapt to changes or adjustments as needed Any other related tasks assigned by the manager or room supervisor Required Skills / Abilities Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Basic math skills and strong English communication skills (written and verbal) The ability to learn and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all safety policies Education and Experience A minimum of one year of manufacturing or related experience is required. A minimum of one year of supervising or team leadership experience is preferred. Physical Requirements This position involves continuous standing and lifting of 10lbs, occasional lifting of 25lbs, carrying of objects up to 50lbs, continuous standing for long periods and duration of the shift, and occasional walking.
