Training Instructor (Operating Room Specialist)

About the Position: This position is located in the Education Department at Army Medical Center Madigan. The work involves coordinating and instructing a training program designed for the 68D (OR technician) Phase II program to all new 68D (OR Technician) medical personnel assigned to the US Army. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes coordinating medical simulation training activities; preparing medical training instructions materials, aids; or the setup of manikins, moulages or other simulator equipment for various medical simulation training exercises. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: healthcare, emergency medicine, or education. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18.
