Associate Director, Talent Management

AbbVie

Mettawa, IL

Associate Director, Talent Management at AbbVie will lead talent strategy initiatives and partner with business and HR leaders to drive organizational performance through comprehensive talent management practices, succession planning, and leadership development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional talent team to create and implement comprehensive talent strategy focused on critical roles
  • Partner with business HR and stakeholders to establish talent development strategies aligned with organizational objectives
  • Guide HR leaders and business leadership to adopt talent-first decision-making practices
  • Coach leadership to identify and differentiate development for high-potential talent and build succession pipelines
  • Lead performance management and talent review process implementation, training, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years Human Resources experience with talent management focus
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects in matrix environments
  • Proven ability to influence and lead teams indirectly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive presentation capability
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic talent initiatives
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and consulting expertise
