As a Manufacturing Equipment Technician, you will support critical manufacturing equipment and drive continuous improvement in a highly technical, cleanroom production environment. Shift Information• Shift: Shift 7• Schedule: Day shift, Thursday- Saturday and every other Wednesday• Hours: 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Equipment Technicians in Advanced Packaging Technology Development: Substrate and Wafer Assembly are responsible for: Performing electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose issues with non-functioning electromechanical equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing. Dismantling, adjusting, repairing, and assembling equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, or engineering drawings. Performing setup, calibration, and preventive maintenance on production equipment, with a focus on wet chemistry, plating, and dry high-vacuum toolsets. Documenting maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and findings in accordance with established procedures and systems. Collaborating with engineering, process, and support teams to improve tool performance, reduce equipment downtime, and enhance process capability and reliability. Leading or contributing to continuous improvement projects, including root cause analysis, yield and uptime improvement initiatives, and optimization of maintenance practices. Assignments are semi-routine in nature and performed within generally defined parameters. Employees normally receive general instructions on most work and are expected to exercise judgment in resolving nonstandard problems. Required Skills and AttributesThe ideal candidate demonstrates: Strong judgment and initiative in resolving nonstandard equipment and process issues and in developing clear, data-driven recommendations.• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adjust to rapidly changing priorities. Self-motivation and the ability to manage individual responsibilities while actively supporting team goals. Flexibility and capability to handle multiple tasks and toolsets concurrently. Data analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities, including interpreting equipment data and logs. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with peers, engineers, and customers (internal stakeholders). Basic computer literacy, including the use of email, web-based systems, and common office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office applications) to document work, create reports, and communicate with team members. Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a cleanroom environment for extended periods while wearing full cleanroom attire (coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves). Willingness to work in proximity to chemicals, follow all safety procedures, and wear a respirator when required. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs as needed. Ability to climb ladders as required by the role. Willingness and ability to spend the majority of the shift (greater than 90 percent, excluding breaks) on the manufacturing floor working on equipment, which may involve: Walking approximately 3-5 miles per shift.o Standing and/or sitting for up to 9 hours per shift, as required by tasks. Qualifications: Qualifications: You must meet the minimum qualifications below to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience may be gained through education, coursework, projects, research, previous employment, or military service. Minimum Qualifications: One of the following: High School diploma or equivalent with 4+years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair within a manufacturing, semiconductor, or industrial environment; OR Associate’s degree (AA/AS) in a technical field (e.g., Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or related discipline) with 2+ years of relevant experience supporting manufacturing or production equipment; OR Bachelor’s degree (BS) in a relevant technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline) Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of prior experience in one or more of the following areas: Troubleshooting, installation, repair, and operation of electronics equipment, wafer fabrication tools, or assembly/test tools. Working with wet chemistry, plating, and/or dry high-vacuum equipment in a manufacturing or RD environment. Use of electrical and/or mechanical measuring devices such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers, and micrometers. Use of torque wrenches and other standard hand tools. Reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Working on and repairing mechanical and/or electrical equipment systems in a manufacturing, semiconductor, or industrial environment. Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $70,670.00-99,770.00 USD (Hourly Role) The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations.
