Job Summary:
Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurse (RN) position in New Britain, Connecticut. This role involves working with complex patient populations, including respiratory/vented patients, LVAD, cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), acquired brain injuries (ABI), spinal cord injuries (SCI), wounds, and other medical conditions. Candidates will be expected to bring their license on the first day and demonstrate 1-2 years of relevant experience. This is a day shift position requiring candidates to work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

• Required Qualifications: RN licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred, 1-2 years of experience, prior travel experience is preferred, experience with respiratory/vented patients strongly preferred
• Responsibilities include: IV starts, administration of blood products, EKGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound vac changes, wound dressings, trach care, suctioning, straight catheter, Foley care, port access, central line dressing, wound measurements.
• Float: Not required to float to other units.
• Additional Information: The candidate profile must be clear and easy to follow; any issues will be returned for corrections. Experience with respiratory/vented patients should be noted if applicable.
