About the Position

Job Title: MRI Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: NY license required Certifications: BLSS Must-Have: - Significant experience in MRI technology - Charting system experience (EPIC) Description: This position involves working as an MRI Technician in a dynamic healthcare environment. The role requires the use of a Siemens Espree 1.5T MRI large bore system and BRACCO power injector. The technician will conduct a variety of MRI imaging procedures, including Abdomen, Brain, Female Pelvis, and more. Experience with adult acute care and various MRI techniques, such as MRA and MRV, is essential. The technician will need to demonstrate proficiency in preparation and administration of contrast media. Responsibilities include starting peripheral IVs and maintaining isolation precautions as required. Interdisciplinary support is provided, which includes various services essential for patient care. The daily patient load averages around 15 patients, and the position involves working primarily with adolescents, adults, and pediatrics. Candidates must be willing to float to different areas as needed during their shifts. This role does not have a color requirement for scrubs, which are not provided. Candidates located within a certain radius will not be considered for this position. Travel experience is preferred for applicants.
