Boise, ID · $20-23/hour · Full-time, hourly · Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm

Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

You are detail-oriented, organized, and ready to build a real foundation in property accounting. You process invoices accurately, close the books cleanly, and take ownership of the work in front of you. You want to grow in accounting and you are looking for the right place to do it. As an Accounting Clerk, you support the Property Accounting team with a mix of accounts payable processing and general accounting support, with a clear path to grow within the department.

Your time is split roughly evenly between accounts payable and general accounting support.

Accounts payable:

• Process invoice payments on time, resolving exceptions and duplicates.
• Prepare and process check runs and initiate payments through the Bill Pay process.
• Support new vendor creation and maintain vendor records, W-9s, and 1099 documentation.
• Research and resolve vendor inquiries, invoice discrepancies, and past-due balances.
• Assist with AP aging review and follow up on outstanding items.

General accounting support:

• Assist with monthly close tasks, including accruals, reclasses, and bank reconciliations.
• Help prepare and distribute financial reporting packages and supporting schedules.
• Assist with document retention to support audit and compliance needs.
• Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

You take ownership of the details, hit your deadlines, and give the team numbers they can trust.

What you bring:

• One to three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume environment.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

A leg up if you have:

• An associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Property management or real estate accounting experience.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management software.
• Pivot table skills in Excel.
