Custodian - Part Time, Nights and Weekends - Seasonal

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Under the supervision of the Recreation Manager of Facilities and Aquatics, the Custodian is directly responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center. This position pays $18.50 per hour - Seasonal position until June 2026

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrates, supports, and enforces park district customer service standards; exercises professional judgment and displays initiative within established policies and regulations Ensure building is prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces Clean up after accidents or illnesses Maintain cleaning tools, equipment, and materials in proper condition Wash and wipe down windows and walls Uses a variety of cleaning equipment and materials to maintain floors Clean and sanitize restroom facilities Replenish disposable supplies Collecting and taking out trash and recycling Report to the Recreation Manager of Facilities and Aquatics an repairs and supplies needed On occasion may be required to assist with facility grounds, including but not limited to snow removal Assist with event set-up, tear down and maintenance when needed. Maintain all records, reports, and checklists as requested. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions. Performs any additional related tasks as required. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum Age 18.
