Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Lead – South Florida A growing engineering consultancy with an established presence across South Florida is seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Lead to support the delivery of roadway and infrastructure projects throughout the region. This role offers the opportunity to lead teams, manage projects end-to-end, and work closely with both public and private sector clients. Key Responsibilities Lead internal design teams and coordinate with external partners on transportation-related projects Oversee development of roadway and drainage design packages, including supporting documentation Coordinate with local agencies, utilities, and stakeholders throughout project delivery Support permitting efforts and ensure alignment with applicable design criteria and regulations Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and execution Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior staff Participate in client communication and help maintain strong working relationships What They’re Looking For Strong background in roadway or transportation engineering within a consulting environment Experience working on projects for public agencies and/or local jurisdictions Familiarity with design standards, specifications, and permitting processes Experience leading or supporting project teams Working knowledge of roadway design software and 3D modelling tools Understanding of traffic-related design elements is beneficial Strong communication and coordination skills Preferred Background Professional Engineering license (or ability to obtain) Several years of progressive experience in transportation or roadway engineering Experience working on projects within South Florida or similar markets Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment Additional Info Role is based in South Florida with projects across the surrounding region Opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities and grow within the organisation Exposure to a mix of public and private sector work #J-18808-Ljbffr Metric Geo
