Work Environment

This position is based in our Onsite Rehabilitation Facility in Avenel, NJ, where a supportive atmosphere promotes collaboration among healthcare professionals. Physical Therapists at Lyrad actively engage with each other and with patients, making for a dynamic work environment that prioritizes patient outcomes. You'll work Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours a week, allowing for predictable scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment programs based on physician referrals to enhance patient mobility and alleviate pain.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to treat a wide variety of specializations, including but not limited to orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine.
• Provide compassionate and skilled therapeutic care in a clinical setting, ensuring alignment with each patient's plan of care, as prescribed by their medical providers.
• Educate and empower patients and their caregivers on home exercises, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and outcomes while meeting and exceeding minimum utilization goals and other operational objectives.
• Actively participate in team meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Lyrad, you will work closely with a diverse patient population, providing care to individuals recovering from surgical procedures, managing chronic illnesses, or undergoing rehabilitation following injuries. You will be equipped to collaborate with patients of all ages, from children to seniors, delivering tailored therapies that address unique needs and facilitate functional improvement.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current State License as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of applicable clinical experience preferred.
• Valid CPR certification to ensure patient safety and care.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, conducive to building trust and rapport with patients.
• Proficient in word processing and technology use to maintain documentation and electronic health records.

Preferred Experience

While two years of prior experience in a similar setting is required, those with specialties in orthopedic, pediatric, and sports therapy are encouraged to apply, as their background will be beneficial in addressing the needs of our varied patient population. Experience working in a collaborative team environment and demonstrating ability to foster patient relationships will be essential.
