Looking to make a meaningful impact in education? This contract opportunity as a paraprofessional places you at the heart of elementary classroom learning for the August-May school year. Located in the Blytheville area with working hours from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, this position offers an engaging environment where you’ll make a direct difference every day.

In this role, you'll provide essential support to classroom teachers and students, including those in special education. The setting is lively and may involve interactions with a diverse range of student behaviors, requiring patience, adaptability, and compassion. You’ll have the chance to help cultivate positive learning environments and support young learners on their educational journey.

Key qualifications and desired experience:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working in school settings is highly valued
Comfort assisting both general and special education classrooms
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to respond calmly and effectively to various student behaviors
High school diploma or equivalency required; further relevant certification is a plus
Team-oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate with teachers and staff

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting teachers in daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
Providing individualized or small group support to students
Supporting students with special needs, as required
Helping maintain classroom routines and safety
Encouraging and reinforcing positive student behaviors
Monitoring classroom activities and assisting with record keeping
