Packaging Machine Operator I

Animal Diet Packaging Position1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6AM - 2PMThe position will perform packaging of animal diet by filling, closing, packing and palletizing packages to include but not limited to the following:Perform all set up and preparation work prior to packaging each diet utilizing production schedule and Quality-related documents and aidesAccurately and thoroughly complete all necessary forms and documents needed for each packaging runComplete and document in-process checks and verifications in compliance with established Quality SystemOperate all packaging equipment and perform any operational adjustments as neededMaintain a clean and organized work area according to the housekeeping procedures and checklistsOther duties as assignedQualifications and Education Requirements:Completed High School educationEnglish communication – written, reading and oralDeveloped and accurate basic math ability – addition, subtraction, multiplication, divisionNeat and legible handwritingPreferred Skills:Ability to work safely, adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Job ProceduresAbility to follow detailed instructions accuratelyAbility to accurately transpose written and printed information to quality record documentsAbility to work in a standing position for periods of time up to 8.0 hoursMust be able to be self-motivated, work independentlyAbility to perform repetitive tasksAdditional Notes:Physical mobility within facilityAbility to wear all required safety equipmentAbility to frequently lift 50lbs from floor to shoulder heightAbility to climb and descend stairs and vertical laddersAbility and willingness to operate a Forklift (Certification offered on-site)Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed (including alternative shifts and weekends)Successfully pass a physical examination by company approved physicianEnglish communication - reading, written and verbalInotiv is a growing contemporary drug discovery and development company where we "Play to Win" in an industry rich with opportunity.
