Details Med/Surg unit within a community hospital setting Care for Med/Surg and telemetry patients with 1:6 patient ratio Utilizes cardiac monitoring for dysrhythmia interpretation and management Uses Meditech EMR Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7PM-7AM Every 3rd weekend required No on-call requirements Floating required as needed within scope 13-week contract with block scheduling allowed Requirements Active NC or Compact RN license required BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required (candidates with 1 year may be considered) Previous travel nursing experience required Community hospital experience required Teaching hospital experience preferred Meditech charting experience required Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management Experience with oxygen administration, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use Two professional references from a supervisor completed within the last two years required for consideration Current COVID vaccination card required for consideration Nursys report pulled within the last 7 days required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response/code team coordination Float within the hospital as needed based on scope of practice Candidates with minor background infractions may be considered Local candidates will not be accepted Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Former staff must have been separated for at least one year and in good standing to reapply, and cannot be local First-time travelers accepted with prior travel nursing experience Travel pairs will not be considered for PCU and CCU positions American Traveler Job ID P-750419.
